Every rocket launched since the dawn of the space age 41 years
ago has been at least partly a one-use vehicle, discarding
multimillion-dollar components on its way into space. That's why
space travel is an extremely expensive game -- but that soon could
change.
At least one company hopes to send a totally reusable rocket
into orbit by year's end, and over the next two or three years
several other companies expect to begin launching rockets that can
