Issues in column about Music Hall merit response by board president

As president of the Board of Trustees of The Portsmouth Music Hall I wish to offer a brief reply to those points raised in Gail Kelley's article of Aug. 24 which merit a response.

Nine seasons ago The Music Hall undertook as its mission the goal of providing diverse artistic talent of national and international caliber to the Seacoast community. The challenge of that undertaking can't be overstated when one considers the realities of cost versus available funding for the arts together with the added complexity of presenting modern productions in an old and needy physical plant.
