Russia, Ukraine agree on fleet Nations to share port in Crimea

KIEV -- Ukraine and Russia agreed yesterday on the future of the once-formidable Black Sea Fleet, ending a major dispute that began with the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991.

The agreement removes the last obstacle to a formal friendship treaty between the two neighbors.

After prolonged talks, the prime ministers of the two countries signed three agreements under which Russian and Ukrainian ships will share the coveted Crimean Peninsula port of Sevastopol for 20 years. "All ...
