Mary (Gilhooly) Brennan of Winchester, a retired school teacher, died Friday in her home of Shy-Drager Syndrome, an incurable neurological disease. She was 76.

Mrs. Brennan was born in South Boston and raised in Somerville. She was a graduate of Salem State College.
