African art finally breaks into the Fogg

CAMBRIDGE -- A decade ago, Boston-area businessman William Teel
offered Harvard University, his alma mater, his prized collection of
African sculpture along with an endowment to fund a scholar in the
field.
Harvard declined. Teel decided to give the collection to Boston's
Museum of Fine Arts, which didn't have a strong selection of
sub-Saharan African art. Not that Teel abandoned Harvard in a huff;
