Galway, Williams make for a shining evening

nights)
Ordinarily a Boston Symphony program devoted to two recent
concertos would be box-office poison. But the combined firepower of
soloist James Galway and conductor John Williams brought a nearly
full house to Symphony Hall, and the combined efforts of Galway,
Williams, BSO principal bassoon Richard Svoboda, and composer John
Corigliano sent everyone home reasonably happy.
