Glover's `Messiah' The British conductor leads the Handel & Haydn society's annual holiday work

Jane Glover first heard Handel's "Messiah" in Britain's Lincoln Cathedral when she was 9 years old. Not much more than a decade later she was conducting it when she was still a student at Oxford University. She presided over her first professional performances in 1983, and has led the oratorio annually ever since. This season she conducts six performances for the Handel & Haydn Society in Symphony Hall and the Wang Center.
