Interview with Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer

Supreme Court Justice Stephen G. Breyer had just taken a hard-hat
tour of the Fan Pier Courthouse site and was willing to take what he
calls "the long view, the Supreme Court view." It was Breyer, as
chief judge of the Court of Appeals for the First Circuit, who played
a key role in developing the design and defining the public use of
the courthouse before his appointment to the Supreme Court. Globe
staff member Michael Kenney talked to him about the courthouse.
