A Saturday walk down the hallways of the New England Conservatory of Music is a tour of sounds -- the giggles of 5-year-olds skipping to music in Eurhythmics class, the hopeful toots of the beginning woodwind and brass classes, the sweet high voices of a children's choir, the bops and clangs of a percussion ensemble, the voice of a conductor singing along with the first violins as she directs a string-training orchestra.
