A trip back to the Bronze Age on Ireland's Dingle Peninsula

"The site is everything," said archeological guide Patrick Straine as he led a small group of visitors up a grassy hillside on the Dingle Peninsula.

Straine was referring to the Bronze Age wedge grave on a spectacular site overlooking Dingle Bay, but he could as well have been referring to the Dingle Peninsula itself, the northernmost of five peninsulas on Ireland's southwest coast that stab into the ocean like the fingers of a particularly bony hand.
