New play, orchestra pay tribute to Abigail Adams `Letters' caps 250th-birthday events

WEYMOUTH -- As the 250th anniversary of her birth approaches,
the words of Abigail Adams will be heard again as groups in Quincy
and Weymouth honor the memory of a remarkable woman.
Today at 2 p.m., the Southeastern Philharmonic Orchestra and the
Weymouth public schools will give a free concert featuring the
premiere of "A Nest of Letters" at the Weymouth Junior High School on
Pleasant Street. The concert caps a season of special lectures and
programs dedicated to her life.
Adams was born in Weymouth on Nov. 11, 1744, and was wife to
