Saturn is more than a car, more than a company, much more than another division of General Motors. Saturn is a concept. Saturn is an effort to prove that the domestic industry could build a small car competitive with the Japanese. And, probably most important of all, the Saturn division of GM is an effort to shake free of the corporate stupidity that passes for conventional wisdom at GM.
