Jones, Nestor lock horns in 21st Middlesex contest

He has lived in Reading less than two years, but prosecutor Matthew Nestor, fresh from a Democratic primary victory over Nicholas Page, says he is poised to unseat state Rep. Bradley Jones Jr., a North Reading Republican, in the 21st Middlesex District.

Nestor, by a 1,465-676 vote (there were also 572 blanks), defeated fellow Reading resident Page in the primary in a district that also includes two precincts in North Andover. Lost in recent redistricting were a precinct in Wilmington and two in Reading.
