`Salute to Symphony' reaches out next week

This year's "Salute to Symphony" takes place March 18-20 with events on WCVB-TV, WCRB-FM radio, in Symphony Hall and at South Station. For the sixth year, NYNEX is the corporate sponsor for this fund-raising and community outreach event. The annual free open house will be at Symphony Hall on Saturday, March 19, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. There will be tours of the hall, demonstrations and performances by members of the Boston Symphony, the Boston Conservatory, the Boston University Symphonic Chorus, the New England Spiritual Ensemble, the New England Conservatory Percussion Ensemble, and DeAma Battle ...
