Episcopal bishop can't use chapel

BURLINGTON, Vt. -- In 1986 the installation of the Episcopal bishop for the state of Vermont was held in a Catholic church.

The Episcopals had asked to use the chapel at St. Michael's College because it is one of the largest churches in the state.

But the Catholic church has declined to allow next week's installation of the new Episcopal bishop to be held there because the bishop-elect this time is a woman.
