A memorial service will be held Fridayfor A. Theodore Lyman Jr., a retired Boston mutual fund manager who died July 1 in Sherman, Maine.

Mr. Lyman's automobile crashed on Interstate 95 after he apparently suffered a heart attack. He was 73.

Mr. Lyman was born in Dedham and attended Noble & Greenough School. He graduated from Harvard College in 1942.
