Alfred J. Cerrone Sr., 77; helped develop airline food services

Alfred John Cerrone Sr. of Newton, a retired food service
executive, died of cardiopulmonary arrest Sunday in Beth Israel
Hospital. He was 77.
In more than 50 years in food service, Mr. Cerrone did everything
from delivering sandwiches to stock brokers to overseeing the
creation of prepared meals for airline travelers.
Mr. Cerrone was born in Boston and worked his way through Bentley
College, where he earned a degree in accounting in 1939, by
delivering lunches to brokerage house...
