A. Theodore Lyman Jr., a retired Boston mutual fund manager, died
Thursday in Sherman, Maine, when his automobile crashed on Interstate
95 after he apparently suffered a heart attack. He was 73.
Mr. Lyman was born in Dedham and attended Noble & Greenough
School. He graduated from Harvard College in 1942.
During World War II, he served as a lieutenant in the Navy in
both the Pacific and North Atlantic.
After the war, Mr. Lyman graduated from the Harvard Business
School as a Baker Scholar in 1947. He then went to work for the
