Solomon Quasha, 69 Wrote the song `Chain Gang'

Services will be held today for Solomon Quasha, 69, of South
Dennis, who wrote the song "Chain Gang." He died Wednesday in Cape
Cod Hospital in Hyannis.
Mr. Quasha was born in Boston. He graduated from Roxbury Memorial
High School and attended the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy.
He lived in Larchmont, N.Y., from 1960 to 1979, when he moved to
Cape Cod.
Mr. Quasha served during World War II in the 5th Marine Division,
which fought at Iwo Jima.
