Weld's own walrus
|
During his 1990 campaign for governor, candidate William Weld struck a responsive chord with his pledge to rid state government of "walruses," his term for overpaid political hacks holding down cushy jobs in the state bureaucracy.
But that was candidate Weld. Now he is Gov. Weld, tossing out fish to a few walruses of his own.
