AAA CARDINAL DISTRICT; Gar-Field's Girls Improve to 21-0

Gar-Field has dominated girls basketball in the Virginia AAA Cardinal and Commonwealth districts for the past seven years. And even though Coach Mark Kozlowski's Hylton team is having its best season, he knew what the Bulldogs were up against entering last night's eventual 67-49 loss to fourth-ranked Gar-Field.

"Gar-Field is Gar-Field," he said.

And no one who has followed girls basketball in those districts since 1988 needed further explanation.

With last night's victory at Gar-Field, the Indians improved to 21- 0 overall, and at 6-0 wrapped up its third Cardinal title…
