CAMBRIDGE - At 86, B.F. Skinner, world-renowned behavioral psychologist, is facing death from leukemia with the same intellectual zest that has marked his long and productive career.

He was feeling fine, Skinner told a visitor this week, apologizing for not being able to shake hands because his weakened immune system leaves him vulnerable to infection. "I'm not afraid to go," he said.
