TRUMBULL, Conn. - Dust has begun to settle on the spirit of Trumbull again. The spray-painted bed sheets that hung from second-story windows have been taken down. Ditto the banner "Little League World Series Champions" that adorned City Hall and the signs that littered lawns. The T-shirt vendors closed shop when winter rolled in. Confetti thrown at the big parade and the celebration at Trumbull High has long since been swept up.
