SWIMMING;Yorktown Girls Perfect in District

It has been an emotional season for the Yorktown swim team, but the Arlington school has persevered better than could have been imagined.

And last night at the George Washington Recreational Center, the Yorktown girls remained unbeaten in the Virginia AAA National District with a 193-95 victory over Mount Vernon.

The Mount Vernon boys were 151-138 winners over Yorktown.

This was the final district meet for all teams. The Yorktown girls finished 5-0 in the district. Mount Vernon's boys improved to 4-1, losing only to West Potomac.
