FRANCIS BOWDITCH, 77 WAS DEAN OF STUDENTS AT MIT

A memorial service will be held Sunday at noon in the Milton
Academy Chapel for E. Francis Bowditch, dean of students at the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1951 to 1956.
Mr. Bowditch died of congestive heart failure Feb. 6 in Boca
Grande, Fla. He was 77 and lived in Boca Grande and Madison, Conn.
Born in Framingham, he graduated from Milton Academy in 1931
and Harvard College in 1935. He also headed the academy's Alumni
