ANC EXILES IN ZAMBIA LONG TO RETURN HOME

LUSAKA, Zambia - Halfway down a dust-filled alley alongside
a row of rickety buildings sits the Lusaka headquarters of the
African National Congress. There is no street name marking the
alley, nor is there an address on the entrance of the ANC office.
This is the underground, and there is little that is romantic about
it.
It is now estimated there are more than 1,000 South African
exiles living in Zambia, mostly in Lusaka, turning the city into a
city of exiles.
