GRATEFUL ALUMNUS GIVES BOSTON LATIN $1 MILLION
|
Boston Latin School, the oldest public preparatory school in
the nation, has been given $1 million by Marshall S. Cogan, a New
York businessman. It is the largest personal gift the school has
received since its founding in 1635.
Cogan, 52, a native of Brighton who graduated from Boston
Latin in 1955, credits the school with making it possible for him
to go to Harvard College and Harvard Business School.
Those educational opportunities gave him the base for a
successful career on Wall Street.
Boston Latin "meant so much to me," Cogan said last week,
