LEADING EDGE TO SELL NAME TO MAIN CLIENT DEALERS WORRIED ABOUT THEIR CASH, FIRM'S FATE

A group of dealers met yesterday in Chicago to discuss the
fate of Leading Edge Products Inc., a day after the company
disclosed that it signed an agreement to sell its name and primary
business contract to one of its major dealers, PC Systems of
Riviera Beach, Fla.
Computer dealers who stand to lose hundreds of thousands of
dollars if Leading Edge goes out of business have retained a Boston
law firm to represent their interests while the Canton-based
supplier of low-priced, IBM-PC clones negotiates to be sold.
