HYDE PARK PAPER MILL TO REOPEN IN MARCH

A Hyde Park paper mill, closed in 1987 with a loss of 200 jobs, will reopen in March following a lengthy effort by politicians, financiers and union members to salvage the plant.

The plant could play an important role in the Flynn administration's response to the city's solid-waste disposal problems by serving as a major recycling center for paper from offices in downtown Boston, officials said.
