Joe Gibbs found himself in a familiar place on this emotional
afternoon, surrounded by sounds that must have stirred memories and
sights he surely will never forget. From the front steps of the Pro
Football Hall of Fame, he again faced a sea of burgundy and gold and
once more heard both raucous cheering and the sounds of "Hail to the
Redskins."
Had he used just a bit of imagination, Gibbs would have been
back in 1982 and seen John Riggins breaking outside. Or Doug
Williams throwin...
