THERE'S BEEN a wavelet of nose-thumbing in the news this month, a mini-surge generated mostly by Tom DeLay, whose valedictory to Terri Schiavo was a slam at the judges who declined Congress's invitation to intercede in her case. "We will look at an arrogant, out-of- control, unaccountable judiciary that thumbed their nose at Congress and the president," the House majority leader said after Schiavo died March 31.
