CAMBRIDGE - A camel, the old saw goes, is a horse designed by a
committee.
Zero Arrow Street, a new building in Cambridge, is a little bit
like that. There's nothing particularly objectionable about the
architecture. Nobody is going to say this is an offensive building.
That's the whole point: Zero Arrow is so completely lacking in any
definite character that it's sure not to offend anyone, anywhere,
anytime. With its new theater space, it's a welcome addition to the
life of Harvard Square. But architecturally, it is a strange salad of
mismatched ingredients.
