At first glance, painters William Ciccariello and Will Mentor have little in common. Ciccariello's works at Miller Block are realist monochromes; Mentor's painting at Mario Diacono at Ars Libri is abstract and powered by bold color patterns. Yet the two share a subject: humanity's attempt to harness and control the land.
