MARGUERITE HUTCHINSON, 81; WAS NURSE IN WORLD WAR II

Marguerite J. (Gunning) Hutchinson never boasted about her service as a nurse during World War II, but it was something that her children knew was dear to her heart.

"Mother was very humble and unpretentious," her oldest child, Michael, of Cottage Grove, Minn., said yesterday.

"She would often wonder what she had accomplished until we reminded her how much she had," another son, William, of Malden, said after Mrs. Hutchinson's death on June 24 of cardiopulmonary disease at Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis. She was 81.
