OSTERVILLE - A fire swept through Cape Cod's oldest boatyard, destroying an estimated 50 yachts, but sparing a prized wooden sloop owned by President John F. Kennedy.

Gregory Egan, the owner of Crosby Yacht Yard, spent yesterday surveying the damage to three large sheds consumed by fast-moving flames that shot 50 feet in the air Wednesday night.
