TODDLER FOUND ALONE IN MINIBUS DROP-OFF AT DAY CARE APPARENTLY FORGOTTEN

LOWELL - The state is investigating how an 18-month-old toddler was left strapped into his seat inside a locked minibus for 5 1/2 hours after the driver apparently forgot to drop him off at a day care center.

A passer-by called police after finding the child alone and crying inside the bus parked outside the driver's home at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The boy, Asaiah Carrasquillo, was taken to Saints Memorial Medical Center, where he was found to be in good condition. His parents picked him up two hours later.
