It was a poignant curtain call for a lawyer once renowned as much
for his courtroom theatrics as for his liberal conscience and
prolific defense work. Using the stentorian voice that won him
hundreds of cases across the nation, disgraced attorney Morris M.
Goldings yesterday called himself a "financial terrorist" and threw
himself at the mercy of the federal judge who accepted his plea of
guilty for stealing $17 million from clients and colleagues.
Chief US District Judge William G. Young responded by sentencing
Goldings to three years in federal prison, most likely in a low
