`COPENHAGEN' TURNS PHYSICS INTO SEARING ART
|
How certain is it that a play proclaiming the uncertainty of
almost everything in life is a superb play? Perhaps we can set the
Uncertainty Principle aside for at least one sentence to say that
"Copenhagen" is indeed a superb play. No one, at any rate, ever
accused theater critics of being rocket scientists, and you won't
have to be one either to appreciate how Michael Frayn has applied the
principles of physics to those of art.
The Tony-winning play revolves around how Werner Heisenberg, of
Uncertainty Principle fame, came to Copenhagen in 1941 to see his
mentor, Niels Bohr.
