STUDENT DIES IN FALL AT PURGATORY CHASM

A Rhode Island School of Design student died Friday after falling
60 feet while hiking in the Purgatory Chasm State Reservation in
Sutton, Mass.
Kira Fischer, 21, of West Hartford, Conn., was hiking with two
friends at about 10:30 a.m. when she slipped near the Lover's Leap
area, State Police Sergeant David Paine said.
More than a dozen Sutton police and fire officials responded,
along with State Police from the Grafton barracks.
