WILLIAM GREEN JR., GLOBE RETIREE

William F. Green Jr. of Dorchester and Dennis Port, a longtime
employee of The Boston Globe, died Saturday at Marian Manor in South
Boston. He was 89.
Mr. Green was born in Medford and graduated from high school
there. He attended Boston University, studying business, before
taking a position with the Globe.
Working for the Globe was a family affair for the Greens. Mr.
Green's father, William Sr., was a pressman with the Globe for a
number of years. His sister, Virginia Brosseau, was a member of the
