FITCHBURG -- The thoughts were going through Rashied Jones'
mind after he fumbled faster than a Boeing 747.
"Not again," he said. "I did it the first game of the year, I'm
not going to do that again."
From his defensive end position, Jones recovered a fumble with
1:15 left to seal his team's 7-0 win over Fitchburg, the top-ranked
Division 1 team in Central Mass., before more than 8,000 people at
Crocker Stadium.
But Brockton almost didn't do it.
