Arrests end campus riot in Hartford
|
A dozen University of Hartford students, including two from
Massachusetts, were arrested on campus yesterday morning when about
1,200 students rioted after authorities tried to break up a sorority
keg party, police said.
Paula Beer, 19, of Sherborn, and Michael Fanous, 20, of Braintree,
were among the 12 arrested by Hartford police for allegedly pelting
officers who had responded to a disturbance call at the university
with rocks and bottles, police said.
