THE wife of former Iraqi prime minister Iyad Allawi has been
convicted of dangerous driving after running down a London traffic
warden who tried to give her a ticket.
Thanaa Allawi, 48, accelerated towards the female warden and then
drove off with her clinging to the bonnet of her 30,000 Audi. She
was banned from driving for a year but said today she would appeal
against the conviction.
Mrs Allawi branded warden Michelle Walker a blatant liar and
