Brentsville Boys, Girls Sweep Races At Rappahannock

With three boys and three girls finishing in the top five of their respective races, the Brentsville High School cross-country teams cruised to a sweep of the Bull Run District meet Wednesday at Rappahannock's Bleu Rock course.

Brentsville's Valerie Echevarria won the girls race, finishing the 3.1-mile course in 20 minutes 35 seconds. Teammates Jamie Fields and Devon Moore finished third and fourth, respectively, in 20:50. The Tigers totaled 26 points and were followed by Rappahannock (43) and George Mason (56). Manassas Park did not field enough runners to post a team score.
