1998 WRHS graduate to compete for Rhodes scholarship

Robert Chamberlain, a 1998 Washburn Rural High School graduate, is a contender for a Rhodes scholarship.

The Rhodes scholarships are for graduate study at Oxford University in Oxford, England. Cecil Rhodes, a British philanthropist and colonist, established the Rhodes scholarship in 1903. Students between the ages of 18 to 24 who demonstrate high academic achievement and leadership can apply for the scholarships.
