Cush still in a class of his own
|
It had been awhile since I'd last seen Grant Cushinberry, although
he had come to my mind on many occasions in the past few weeks.
Unfortunately, I was never near a phone when I thought of him, so
I couldn't give him a call to see how he was doing.
A few days ago, he surprised me with a visit to the newsroom. It
was a scene from the past, in those glorious days before locked
security doors, terrorist attacks and anthrax, when the newsroom was
wide open for anyone to walk through.
I could almost set my clock by Cushinberry's visits in those days:
