Kemp uncovers talent for throwing discus

Crystal Kemp, the basketball player, is becoming a pretty darn
good discus thrower.
The Topeka High junior, who won the city scoring championship with
a 22-point-plus average and was an All-City and second-team All-
Class 6A pick in basketball, currently is ranked No. 5 on the state
track honor roll in the discus with a throw of 131 feet 3 inches.
