White Cloud flea market bagains

Sometimes one man's trash is indeed another man's treasure. Sometimes not. Odd pairings of items were inevitable, such as this bedpan resting in a rusty cart beneath a sign that reads, "welcome friends."

A church pew, selling for $65, sat next to a porch swing that had already been sold. As one vendor put it, "You can find anything your heart desires."

Some of the 400 vendors who came to the White Cloud flea market to peddle their wares set up their stands in a muncipal park. The third school built in White Cloud in 1872 stands in the background. Now a retail ...
