POWHATTAN --- Alfred R. Ahrens Jr., 76, Powhattan, died Friday,
March 10, 2000, at a Hiawatha hospital.
Mr. Ahrens was a field representative for the Brown County Co-op
and he later managed the Brown County Co-op in Powhattan. He was a
field representative for the Sheridan Commercial Co. in Sheridan,
Wyo., for three years. He managed a Brown Swiss dairy farm in Kersey,
Colo., in the late 1950s. He also farmed and operated a dairy in
Pittsburg.
