The beleaguered Mir space station suffered yet another setback
today when its main computer system failed during a docking attempt
by an unmanned Progress supply ship.
The Russian space station's main computer failed a few
minutes before it was to complete the automatic docking of the
supply ship, forcing Mir's commander to complete the procedure
manually. But the computer failure left Mir once again drifting out
